The recent story about the tragic death of a 22-year veteran New York City police officer at the hands of a vicious robber is yet another reminder of how our policemen and women put their lives on the line every day for the people of this city.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. It is time for the judicial system to be very tough on those who shoot and murder police officers. Let’s stop coddling these vicious and inhumane criminals. They show no respect for the law or for human life.
