Far Rock man, 27, dies from gunshot wound

FAR ROCKAWAY — A 27-year-old man was shot and killed in Far Rockaway Monday morning, police said.

An unknown assailant fired at the man, only described as a 27-year-old black man, around 8:56 a.m. Monday inside 31-01 Seagirt Ave. in Far Rockaway, police said.

The gunman fired a single shot in the back of the man’s head, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, police said.
