LONG ISLAND CITY — A spat between two N train straphangers Monday ended in knife violence, the New York Post reported.
A 52-year-old woman mocked a 35-year-old female beggar who started riding a train bound for Manhattan at Queensboro Plaza around 6:40 p.m. and asking for money, the Post reported.
In response, the younger woman spit at her, the Post reported. The older woman spit back, which prompted the beggar to pull out a knife and rush her, the Post reported.
While the woman’s outburst caused a panic in the car, a 33-year-old man grabbed the woman and held her until the train arrived at the Lexington Avenue station and cops were able to take her away, the Post reported.
