No residents were injured after a fire ignited inside the cellar of a Richmond Hill home last Friday night, Feb. 24, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the onealarm blaze broke out at around 9:30 p.m. at a residence located on 114th Street near Myrtle Avenue. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 294, 308 and 285; Squad companies 270 and 288; Ladder companies 143, 151 and 126; Rescue 4 and Battalions 51 and 39-under the direction of Division 13. One hose line was used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
