Flames ripped through a vacant wood frame home in Bedford-Stuyvesant during a two-alarm fire that broke out on Monday afternoon, Apr. 16, it was reported. Numerous Fire Department units rushed to extinguish the inferno at the empty dwelling in the vicinity of Jefferson and Ralph avenues at around 5:15 p.m. Three tower ladders and four hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, FDNY sources said. There were no reported injuries.
