Ten people were injured after a bus collided with a truck at the corner of Woodhaven Boulevard and Union Turnpike in Glendale on Sunday morning, Apr. 22, it was reported. According to Fire Department sources, the crash occurred at around 11 a.m., when a northbound Q53 bus collided with a truck making an illegal turn at the intersection. Following the impact, it was reported, the truck fled from the scene. Members of Engine companies 294 and 319, Ladder Co. 143, Battalion 51, the 104th and 112th precincts and EMS units responded to the scene. The injured victims were brought to a local hospital for treatment; none were seriously injured. Sources said the driver of the truck was later picked up by police and charged for driving with a suspended license.
