Bludgeoned Senior In Home Invasion

Two men who allegedly tied up and fatally assaulted an 89-year-old Elmhurst man during an invasion of the victim’s home in March remain at large, and police are asking for the public’s assistance in tracking them down.

The NYPD released last Friday, May 18, security camera footage of the suspects wanted in connection with the home invasion and murder of 89-year-old Demaso Llano of 43rd Avenue.

Law enforcement sources said that Llano, who owned the El Mundo Supermarket in Corona, was found with severe head trauma and his hands bound with zipties inside his residence on 43rd Avenue near Junction Boulevard at around 8:30 a.m. on the morning of Mar. 26.

Members of the 110th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene; the victim was pronounced dead at the location.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the 110th Precinct Detective Squad, police said.
