Ecuadorian Pride In L.i.c.

Women of Ecuadorian descent were recognized for their contributions during the first Tribute to the Ecuadorian Community at LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City on Aug. 18. As shown, City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer (at podium) delivered remarks praising the honorees for demonstrating excellence in their professions. The event was hosted by The House of Ecuadorian Culture, Benjamin Carrión, New York International and Queens Civil Court Judge Carmen Velasquez (standing at right).
