Friends’ Meeting Goes Foul in Richmond Hill
Meeting up with a teenager she met on a social networking website proved to be a costly mistake for a 15-year-old girl who was sexually abused by him at a Richmond Hill location early on Monday morning, Aug. 27, according to police.
The victim, who was not seriously injured, and the suspect-described by police as a 17-year-old Asian male standing at 5’4″-tall and weighing 120 lbs.-had met at a home on 123rd Street between Jamaica and 89th avenues earlier that morning.
Reportedly, the meeting was arranged through Facebook.
According to police, the 15-yearold victim fell asleep, but woke up at around 4:20 a.m. to find the attacker groping her genitalia. Upon being discovered, law enforcement sources noted, the suspect fled from the scene in an unknown direction.
The incident was later reported to the 102nd Precinct, and the case was presented to the 102nd Precinct Detective Squad and the NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad for further investigation.
