Vehicle engulfed in flames on Cross Island

A raging fire engulfs the front half of a car along the northbound lanes of the Cross Island Parkway Monday night around 8 p.m. The burning vehicle was sitting north of Union Turnpike, emanating heat across the highway and snarling traffic behind it.
