Members of the East Coast Car Association (ECCA) were among those on hand for the grand opening of the new patient pavilion at St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital in Bayside last Thursday, Sept. 27. As noted, the group of classic car enthusiasts-which holds car shows regularly around Glendale and Forest Hills to benefit the Toys For Tots and the hospital-donated $25,000 to name a room in memory of the organization’s late founder, Ed Walter. Shown with WNYW-TV’s Rosanna Scotto (second from left) are ECCA members Frank Brosnan, Paul Verderosa, Harold Mecabe, Ed Walter Jr. and Lou Buglione; ECCA member Mike Bilski is shown in the foreground.
