The wonders of western Queens were on display at a special NYC & Company networking event at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria on Oct. 18. Employees of local cultural organizations, hotels, governmental agencies, restaurants and many other industries mixed and mingled with professionals from the tourism and hospitality industries. Attendees exchanged business cards, talked shop and toured the museum. Seen in photo are (from left to right): Amy Jacobsen, who took home a jack of diamond pendant charm; Wilka Jones, who won a one-year MMI membership; Rob MacKay from the Queens Tourism Council; Angela Alford, who snatched two nights for two guests at the Z Hotel; Tom Comerford, who got a $100 gift certificate to eat at The Astor Room; Kelly Curtin from NYC & Co.; Christopher Wisniewski from MMI; and Dana Frankel from the Long Island City Partnership.
