Rego Park Pickpocket Caught on Tape

These pictures taken from a security camera video released by police show a female thief stealing a wallet from a shopper at a department store in Rego Park last month. According to the NYPD, the suspect-described as a white woman between 40 and 50 years of age, standing at 5’4″-tall with a heavy build and long black hair- sat next to, and then swiped a wallet from the pocket book of a 39-year-old woman who was trying on boots at the Century 21 store at 61-35 Junction Blvd. at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 20. The larceny was later reported to the 112th Precinct. Police said the thief was last seen wearing a black coat and black pants.
