102nd Pct. Cops Stop Group Violence

Police Officers Mary Carter and John Sullivan were honored as Cops of the Month for April during the 102nd Precinct Community Council meeting last Tuesday, Apr. 16, at the Richmond Hill library. Carter and Sullivan broke up a group of three teen girls trying bullying a fourth and steal her phone on Mar. 20. The ringleader of the incident had six prior arrests, including some for robberies, according to Capt. Henry Sautner, commander of the precinct. Carter and Sullivan also apprehended a group of three men who assaulted a fourth and stole the man’s phone on Mar. 28. The group of men had a combined 27 priors for drugs, larceny and robbery, it was noted. Pictured from left are: Ranjit Singh, second vice president; Sandra Datnarain, treasurer; J.
