Police are looking for a man they say tried to sexually assault a 10-year-old girl on her way to school Monday morning.
The suspect approached the child around 7:10 a.m. at 168th Street near Douglas Avenue, said police. He then pushed her to the ground, held her arms down and threatened her life. He fled before he could sexually assault the girl.
The victim reported the attack when she arrived to class that day.
Police describe the suspect as black, in his 30s, about 5’6 and was last seen wearing a blue shirt, jeans, and red and white Nike sneakers.
