Alexander Blishteyn
Alexander Blishteyn is a Republican and Conservative Party candidate. He wants to reduce taxes on working families and give parents a choice of where to educate their children through a voucher program or city tax credit for private school tuition.
Rory Lancman
Former Assemblyman Rory Lancman would fight co-locating charter schools with public schools and would encourage more affordable housing in the district. He supports two recent City Council bills designed to curb the NYPD’s use of stop-and-frisk.
Mujib Rahman
Mujib Rahman wants to ensure equality between the South Asian enclave and the rest of the district. He would like to see halal food in schools, does not want further development in the district and opposes stop-and-frisk. He backs charter schools.
