Money To Aid Catholic Primary, Secondary Ed.
The Board of Trustees, Administration, faculty and staff of Christ the King Regional High School announced the Middle Village institution will be awarding over $544,000 in academic scholarships to members of its incoming Class of 2018.
“We are particularly pleased by the outstanding response we have received from our local feeder schools and would like to congratulate all the parents, Principals, faculty and staff for their outstanding job in providing a quality education to all our incoming freshmen,” Thomas V. Ognibene, vice chairman of the Board of Trustees and chairperson of the Scholarship Committee, said. “Christ the King will endeavor to continue that outstanding educational process during the students’ four-year experience at Christ the King High School.”
Ognibene advised that the Christ the King Continuing Education program “will be providing a Catholic Loyalty Award of over $249,000 to all students who currently attend Catholic grammar schools and will be attending Christ the King for the 2014/15 school year.”
This award is especially attributable to Christ the King’s utilization of formerly unused space now occupied by the Middle Village Preparatory Charter School.
“Once again, let me congratulate all of our incoming freshmen, their families, school administration and faculty” Ognibene concluded.
