Assaulted Her In Failed Break-In
Police are searching for a man suspected of punching a 65- year-old woman to the ground in an attempt to burglarize her Woodside apartment, officials announced.
The incident went down around 6 p.m. last Thursday, Jan. 30, in an apartment building near the intersection of 50th Street and 43rd Avenue, police said.
Reportedly, the suspect approached the woman as she entered her apartment, followed her inside, threw her to the floor and began punching her about the head.
When she screamed, the man fled, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 50 and 60 and weighing between 170 and 190 lbs. He has light-colored hair and was last seen wearing a baseball cap, dark clothing and white sneakers, law enforcement officials said.
