A 48-year-old man is dead after he was shot less than a block from his Jamaica home Tuesday, according to police.
Officers, responding to a 9-1-1 call, found the victim, Mohamed Hamwi, unconscious and unresponsive at the corner of 173rd Street and 105th Avenue just after midnight, cops said.
Suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso and one to his head, Hamwi was taken to Queens Hospital Center where was pronounced dead, the NYPD said.
Hamwi, who worked at a Wall Street firm, was found with his credit cards and a wallet containing $200, ABC New York reported.
There are no arrests at this time and investigation is ongoing.
