ASTORIA – Police from the 114th Precinct were asking for the public’s help in locating a knife-wielding suspect who allegedly snatched a woman’s purse, the NYPD said.
Authorities said the male suspect allegedly approached a 36-year-old victim from behind and flashed a knife near 38th Street on March 16 at around 1:30 a.m.
He then allegedly fled in a black vehicle with the victim’s purse, which contained nearly $100 in cash and credit cards, according to police.
The woman was uninjured, the NYPD said.
