Jamaica man pleads guilty to sex acts: DA

By Sarina Trangle

A Jamaica man pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with two 7-year-old girls in separate incidents in South Ozone Park last year, the Queens DA said.

Lee Samuel, 26, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal touching and first-degree sexual abuse Monday before Acting Queens Supreme Court Justice Elisa Koenderman April 7, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

“The defendant has admitted to being a sexual predator,” Brown said in a statement. “Today’s plea ensures that he is punished for his crimes and spares his young victims of having to relive their nightmarish experience at trial.”

Samuel, who has been held without bail since his arrest last May, approached one girl from behind May 1, 2013, as she was tying her shoe and touched her butt, Brown said.

Later that day, Samuel asked a second girl if she wanted to play a game and told her to cover her eyes with her hands, the DA said. When she opened her eyes, Samuel had allegedly exposed himself. The DA said Samuel then grabbed the girl by the waist and engaged in a sexual act with her.

Samuel is scheduled to be sentenced May 5.
