Firefighter arrested in 109th Precinct: Cops

FLUSHING — A firefighter was arrested Monday morning for allegedly obstructing the breathing of his girlfriend, police said.

Michael Shields, 32, was arrested at around 10:33 a.m. within the confines of the 109th Precinct and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment, according to the NYPD.

Police could not confirm whether Shields was off-duty at the time of the alleged harassment.
