Fine etiquette, food and drink were served to guests during the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society’s (GRHS) Victorian tea last Saturday, May 3, at the Onderdonk House in Ridgewood. The mid-afternoon event followed a 19th century English custom in which participants were served tea accompanied by a light meal featuring finger sandwiches and pastries. Participants at last Saturday’s tea-some of whom dressed in period attire for the occasion-enjoyed tea with light cakes and an exhibit on the Victorian era. Members of the GRHS and other guests are pictured.
