Children of all ages enjoyed fairy tales along with fun and games during the Jubilee Cluster Players’ Pirates and Princesses festival last Saturday, July 26, at Community United Methodist Church in Middle Village. The program included a musical retelling of classic fairy tales such as “Cinderella,” “Jack and the Beanstalk,” “Rapunzel” and “Peter Pan.” Afterward, youngsters met with characters in costume and took part in face painting, games of chance, arts and crafts and other activities. Proceeds will support the players’ summer production of the musical Bye Bye, Birdie this August at Community United Methodist Church and Glendale/ Maspeth United Methodist Church.
