Flames scorched the exterior of a Woodhaven home during a one-alarm blaze last Tuesday afternoon, July 1, authorities said. According to Fire Department sources, the inferno ignited at about 5 p.m. on the second-floor of a residence on 89th Street near 91st Avenue. Responding to the scene (listed in the order of arrival) were Engine companies 293, 294, 285 and 236; Ladder companies 142, 143 and 107; Squad Co. 270; Rescue 4; and Battalions 39 and 51-under the direction of Division 13-along with the 102nd Precinct and EMS units. There were no reported injuries. Firefighters used two hose lines to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
