Queens commuters should note some early morning lane closures that went into affect Tuesday, April 8, and will continue through the end of May.
The city Department of Transportation announced that due to deck repair work, the exit ramp from the southbound Whitestone Expressway, I-678, to the southbound Cross Island Parkway, will see partial closures Monday through Friday from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. until March 30.
One lane of the northbound Cross Island Parkway will also be closed during those times, but at least one lane of traffic on each roadway will remain open, a DOT spokeswoman said.
