The Veterinary Care Group opened a new animal hospital in Little Neck last weekend, which it said is the first of many re-envisioned veterinary practices that reinvent the customer experience.
VCG Senior Partner Peter Chun said the new sleek look of the animal hospital, 249-36 Horace Harding Expressway, as well as its focus on employee well-being, challenges the status quo for veterinary care.
“After two years of research and development, we felt there was an opportunity to change client experience,” Chun said. “We started with productivity and streamlined processes to pass on savings to clients. We also changed the traditional waiting room into a food and beverage bar. Most importantly, we removed the reception desk that separates us from our clients to create a more meaningful experience.”
VCG specializes in the care of cats and dogs. Its senior staff in Little Neck includes Dr. Janice Huang, licensed veterinary technician Meredith Boudreau and managers Chun and Juil Kim.
