Two people injured in Forest Hills apartment fire

A fire in Forest Hills early Tuesday morning left two people injured — one critically — after the blaze burned through a sixth-floor apartment, according to authorities.

The FDNY received a call at 5:54 a.m. regarding a fire at 106-15 Queens Blvd. A total of 25 units, with more than 100 firefighters, responded to the two-alarm fire, which was under control by 6:46 a.m., fire officials said.

Two people were injured in the fire — one in critical and the other in serious but non-life threatening condition — and were taken to New York Hospital.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
