Despite rave reviews from customers and even a food television program, a Bayside bakery couldn’t keep its doors open beyond 2015.

Thursday was the last day of business for Teaspoon Bake Shop at 36-41 Bell Blvd. after five years of serving treats in the neighborhood. The bakery was run by Queens local and professionally trained pastry chef Alissa Levine and her husband, Josh Stern.

A Facebook page for the Teaspoon Bake Shop has already been deactivated. In a statement on the bakery’s Instagram account, the owners thanked all who helped the shop go from just a dream to a reality.

“We will miss serving our loyal customers, but are excited for what the future holds,” the statement read. In 2012, the confectionery was featured in the Cooking Channel show, “Unique Sweets.” A recipe from the episode for oatmeal cake with maple glaze can still be found on the channel’s website.
