Flushing robber repeatedly punched woman in face: NYPD

Police are looking for a man wanted for robbing and repeatedly punching a 49-year-old woman in Flushing on Wednesday.

Cops say the unidentified male approached the woman as she was getting out of her vehicle in front of 132-05 Avery Ave. at approximately 12:37 a.m. on Jan. 27.

The man — described as an Asian male with a light complexion, approximately 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds — punched the woman in the face repeatedly in a struggle inside the vehicle, according to authorities. He then removed approximately $2,000 and credit cards from her purse and fled westbound on foot on Avery Avenue toward College Point Boulevard.

The victim was treated at Elmhurst Hospital for facial injuries sustained during the incident.

The incident was reported to the 109th Precinct, and no arrests have been made.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark, hooded coat and blue jeans.
