Police are looking for a suspect who shot a man on a Long Island City street on Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, the suspect approached a 32-year-old man who was walking to his car at 38th Avenue and Ninth Street at about 1:30 p.m. Monday. The perpetrator told the victim to lie on the ground before reportedly pulling out a revolver and shooting him in the left arm.
The victim was transported to New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
The suspect, described as a black male, approximately 40 to 45 years old, about 5 feet, 7 inches, fled southbound on Ninth Street. He was last seen wearing a blue work helmet, a yellow jacket and black clothing.
