No injuries were reported after a fire broke out in the basement of a Middle Village home on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
According to the Fire Department, the one-alarm blaze ignited at about 1:51 p.m. on June 22 in the cellar of a residence on 70th Street between Eliot and 62nd avenues.
More than 60 firefighters from 12 units responded to the blaze and worked quickly to bring the fire under control at about 2:39 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
