The MTA reported that electrical issues have caused extensive delays for most train lines.
At 1:17 p.m. the MTA reported issues on the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 lines and then followed up with an announcement that stated all lines should expect “extensive delays.”
According to spokesperson Kevin Ortiz, electrical issue at the Rail Control Center are impacting signals.

At 1:52 p.m. service seemed to be restored on the lines but several minutes later every line once again faced extensive delays.

Ortiz could not confirm when the delays were expected to end.
