Detectives continue to search for clues and suspects behind the stabbing of a 50-year-old man Monday afternoon inside the St. Albans apartment house where he worked as a superintendent, police said.

Police withheld the identity of the victim, who was discovered with multiple stab wounds in the basement of the building on Merrick Boulevard between Sunbury and Ursina roads at about 2:40 p.m. on July 4.

According to NBC New York, the victim’s girlfriend found him in the boiler room located next to the apartment where he lived and worked in maintaining the building.

Officers from the 113th Precinct and EMS units responded to the location. The victim was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.
