The residents of Forest Hills now have another choice for primary, specialty and women’s healthcare services at a new medical care facility that NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens opened last week in collaboration with Weill Cornell Medicine.
The Primary Care and Multispecialty Physician Practice, located at 112-05 Queens Blvd., offers services such as primary care, cardiology, rheumatology, vascular surgery and women’s health services, including breast surgery and gynecologic oncology.
“We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Queens and serve the people of Forest Hills,” said Jaclyn Mucaria, president of NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, at the ribbon cutting ceremony. “We are committed to this borough and want to keep the residents of this borough healthy.”
According to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, the approximately 12,000 square-foot facility is comprised of 12 multispecialty physicians including some of the best physicians in Queens such as internationally-recognized gynecologic oncologist Dr. David A. Fishman, rheumatologist Dr. Tehila Zuckerman and cardiologists Dr. Jonathan Ruan and Dr. Sahadeo Ramnauth, as well as 20 additional staff members.
“The development of this site will help further our goal of expanding primary care and women’s health services into the local community,” said Stephen Rimar, president, NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens.
Also on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony was Michael Nochomovitz, M.D., senior vice president/chief integration and network development officer; Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, state Senator Toby Ann Stavisky and Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz.
This new location is just minutes off the Grand Central Parkway, Union Turnpike, the Van Wyck Expressway, and the E and F trains. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The opening of the Forest Hills facility follows the recent launch of an Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center in Jackson Heights.
