Two vehicles collided on a Flushing street on Friday afternoon, leaving seven people — including four young children — hospitalized with injuries, it was reported.
The accident took place at about 5 p.m. on June 16 at the intersection of 162nd Street and 32nd Avenue. According to the New York Daily News, a blue BMW heading southbound on 162nd Street smashed into a beige Nissan traveling along 32nd Avenue.
Officers from the 109th Precinct and multiple EMS units responded to the scene. Three adults and four children, including a 2-month-old baby who suffered critical injuries, were rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, according to AM New York.
Police were at the scene well into Friday night investigating the causes of the crash. The inquiry is ongoing.
