Police search for man in connection with Flushing assault

Police were searching for a man wanted in connection with an assault in Flushing.

According to police, on Wednesday, June 7, at 8:50 p.m., two people got into a verbal dispute that turned physical inside a nearby residence in the vicinity of Cherry Avenue and Main Street.

Police said a man hit a 45-year-old victim in the head with a glass bottle and threw hot water on him. The victim was taken to Booth Memorial hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but did suffer second degree burns, according to authorities.

Police described the suspect as an Asian male in his 30’s with a bald head who was last seen wearing a red T-shirt.
