These two alleged car thieves used their hot wheels to buy food at an East Elmhurst McDonald’s

Police are looking for two people who were caught on camera buying fast food with a car that was stolen from its parking spot in East Elmhurst.

According to police, on Aug. 19 at 9:30 p.m., a 30 year-old female victim’s vehicle was stolen from its parking spot in the vicinity of 71st Street and 25th Avenue by an unknown individual.

Following an active investigation, on Aug. 23 at 4:41 p.m., the victim’s vehicle was spotted at a McDonald’s located at 88-05 Astoria Blvd. Two individuals were seen in the driver’s seat and passenger seat of the car using the drive-thru to buy a meal.

The suspect in the driver’s seat is described as a Hispanic man with an Afro, a mustache and a tattoo on his left forearm. He was last seen wearing a white tank top. The second suspect in the passenger seat could not be identified.
