FDNY responded to a fire in the basement of a Bayside home Monday morning and had the blaze under control by around 10:50 a.m.

Firefighters had difficulty fighting the fire because of what Breaking News Network termed “heavy clutter.'

According to a fire press spokeswoman, 25 firefighters were on the scene and one was sent to North Shore University Hospital with minor injuries.

Residents at 33-35 202nd St. home had windows boarded up following the fire and two men busied themselves with the cleanup while ConEd workers were on scene.

A continuous pile of rubbish spanned the outer side wall of the house a few feet high.

The two men declined to comment on the incident.
