Police are looking for a pair of crooks who burglarized three Kew Gardens apartments and made off with more than $25,000 in cash in valuables.
According to police, at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 30, two unknown individuals broke into an apartment in the vicinity of Kew Gardens Road and 82nd Avenue with an unknown object. Once inside, the suspects took $2,000 in cash and $7,205 worth of jewelry, luxury clothing items and electronic devices before fleeing to parts unknown.
Just two days later, at 8 a.m. on Oct. 2, the suspects used an unknown object to enter an apartment located in the vicinity of 136th Street and Kew Gardens Road. Once inside, law enforcement sources said, the crooks took approximately $25,000 in jewelry and $1,400 in electronics. The perpetrators fled the location to parts unknown.
Later that same day at 11 p.m., police noted the suspects broke into an apartment that was located in the vicinity of Brevoort Street and Metropolitan Avenue through the rear window. After getting in, the burglars removed $300 in cash as well as various forms of identification before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
The suspects are described as males with a medium complexion. The first suspect, who is between the ages of 25 and 30 years old, was last seen wearing a gray shirt and a black and baseball cap. The second suspect was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, dark-colored jeans and gray sweatshirt.
