A home in Middle Village will take center stage on Wednesday as film crews will be in the area to shoot scenes for a new television show.
According to a notice by the Mayor’s Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management, the television show titled “Homicide City” will be filming several interior scenes at 62-12 83rd St. in Middle Village from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 25, where gunshots are scheduled to be fired.
“Homicide City” is described as a crime re-enactment program scheduled to air on cable’s Investigation Discovery Channel.
In one of the scenes to be filmed, the character Henry is in the living room, when a character named Sean pulls out a gun and points it at the female character Nicki. Nicki is seen walking in the hallway of the home outside of the bedrooms with her hair and clothes disheveled as tears run down her face. Sean is behind her with the gun on her back as they continue to walk down the hallway. Sean takes two steps into one of the bedrooms, raises the gun and fires. Nicki screams from the hallway, and Sean runs back and fires.
The gunshots are set to fire at approximately 11:30 a.m. inside the building only.
Other scenes that will be filmed in the house are the investigation into the shootings by police officers and crime scene investigators dusting for prints.
As always with filming in the area, parking restrictions are coming on Wednesday for these locations:
- One quarter of the west side of 83rd Street between Penelope Avenue and 64th Road; and
- One quarter of the east side of 83rd Street between Penelope Avenue and 64th Road.
