Two injured in a drive-by shooting outside of a south Queens restaurant

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting outside of a Rosedale restaurant that left two people injured on Sunday.

On Oct. 1 at 6 pm, police responded to a 911 call of confirmed shots 139-20 243rd St. Upon their arrival, no one from the incident was at the scene.

According to police, the victims, which are described as a 25-year-old black male and a 23-year-old black female, got into their car outside the location and heard gunshots in their direction. After hearing the shots, they felt pain and realized that they had been shot.

The victims transported themselves to Northwell Health Valley Stream Hospital, where they received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are unsure what the motive for this incident is at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
