Ratatouille — A talented French chef in Paris, Remy, is trying to pursue his dream of cooking in a fine restaurant. The only problem is, Remy is a rat! With the help of his human friend, Remy prepares delicious dishes with a few comic mishaps along the way. Enjoy this Academy Award–winning animated film from Pixar in between Thanksgiving leftovers.

The Great Muppet Caper — Intrepid reporters Kermit, Fozzie Bear, and Gonzo go to London to interview a fashion designer whose jewels have been stolen. When the thieves strike again and Miss Piggy is accused of the crime, Kermit and friends come to the rescue.

The Florida Project and The Little Rascals — Set on a stretch of highway just outside Disney World, “The Florida Project” follows 6-year-old Moonee and her rebellious mother Halley over the course of a single summer. The two live week-to-week at The Magic Castle; the precocious Moonee’s endless afternoons overflow with mischief and adventure. Vibrant, raw, and surprise-filled, “The Florida Project” was largely inspired by the 1930s “Little Rascals” shorts.

Black Friday Hike Nature Exploration Moderate — Urban Park Ranger hiking guides will introduce you to the hidden gems of New York City. On the hike, you may explore nature, discover our city’s urban forests, or just unplug from the world to clear your head. Hiking programs feature intensity levels ranging from light, to moderate, to vigorous.

The Worlds Fair Adventure Quest — Learn about the World’s Fair and Flushing Meadows-Corona Park as you’ve never experienced before. This challenge leads teams through the park on a part scavenger hunt, part walking tour that combines easy physical challenges, photo clues, and searches while testing your knowledge of local history.

When: Sunday, Nov. 26, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Volleyball Tournament — Join NYC Parks in a fun, competitive double elimination volleyball tournament for New Yorkers ages 16 and older. Six to eight teams will participate with a limit of eight players per team. Call to join the competition.

Storytime Craft — Bring your little nature lovers to Queens Botanical Garden for a relaxing afternoon featuring nature-inspired stories, followed by a botanically themed craft activity. Recommended for ages 10 and younger.

Pictures with Santa — The Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District is sponsoring a Pictures with Santa day. Bring your own camera. NYC Brass Entourage will provide holiday music from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Opera On Tap Carolers will be on the Avenue from 2 to 4 p.m. Santa’s helpers will help give out free candy canes and a free gift (while supplies last).
