Police were looking for a man who allegedly violated an order of protection and assaulted a young boy in Jackson Heights last week.

Alix Sanchez, 31, forced his way into a residence in the vicinity of 94th Street and 37th Avenue where a valid order of protection exists, according to the NYPD.

Sanchez allegedly pushed an 18-year-old man to the floor and then slapped a 5-year-old boy in the face and fled the location on foot to parts unknown, police said. The boy was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center for evaluation, police said. There were no other injuries reported as a result of the incident.

Sanchez is described as 5-foot-7, 190 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
