Police need the public’s help in finding a Flushing teenager who has been missing since September.
Kimberli Amaya Garcia, 16, was last seen at her Ash Avenue home at 7 a.m. on Sept. 29, authorities said.
According to law enforcement sources, Amaya Garcia’s family says that she was in good mental health and had never left the house or tried to run away before. Police also reported that Amaya Garcia, a student at Veritas Academy on Union Street in Flushing, never made it to school that day.
Amaya Garcia is described as a Hispanic female with black hair, brown eyes, standing 4 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 95 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue Veritas Academy shirt and blue pants.
