Bayside locals will soon have a spot where they can satisfy their cravings for empanadas.

Mama’s Empanadas will open up a brand-new location in the Bayside Hills section of the neighborhood at 61-09 Springfield Blvd. The eatery will replace Fresco Pizzeria and Restaurant.

Mama’s already operates locations in Astoria, Elmhurst and Jackson Heights. A manager at the Jackson Heights Mama’s location confirmed that the new spot was on the way but couldn’t provide an estimated opening date.

Traditional cheese, chicken and beef empanadas are on the menu at each location, alongside more unique takes on the hand pies, including pepperoni pizza, cheeseburger and macaroni and cheese. Most items on the menu are $2 or less a piece.

Breakfast and dessert empanadas, sandwiches and side dishes such as plantains, corn cakes and fried cassava are also on the menu.

The original Mama’s Empanadas at 76-17 Roosevelt Ave. has more than 100 reviews on Yelp, mostly four and five stars. The eatery chain is known best for its affordable prices and quick service.

The storefront is flanked by S & K Accounting Corp. and Springfield Barbershop.
