Hit-and-run in Long Island City leaves 27-year-old victim in critical condition

The search continues for a driver who hit a 27-year-old man in Long Island City on Tuesday night and fled the scene.

According to police, the crash occurred at 35th Street and Queens Boulevard at approximately 9:02 p.m. The driver, who was driving a dark-colored SUV, drove off after hitting the victim.

Officers from the 108th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. The man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition, police said.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
