Duo that held up Sunoco Gas Station in East Elmhurst at gunpoint remains at large

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who held up an East Elmhurst gas station at gunpoint and managed to get away with a whopping $30.

According to police, the suspects drove to a Sunoco Gas Station at 88-20 Astoria Blvd. on Feb. 17 at about 2:55 a.m. in a silver BMW M3. One of the suspects got out of the car, displayed a gun to the gas attendant and demanded cash.

The suspects took $30 in cash and fled in the car going east on Astoria Boulevard.

The driver is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches, 170 pounds and last seen wearing aa red hooded sweater and dark gray pants.

The second suspect, who flashed a gun, is also described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches, 170 pounds and last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweater, tan pants and brown boots.
