Bandit ambushes clerk opening a bank in Queens Village and steals the branch’s keys

Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection to a robbery in Queens Village.

It was reported that on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 7:50 a.m., an unidentified man approached a 28-year-old female employee in the rear of a TD Bank, located at 214-32 Jamaica Ave.

As she unlocked the door of the bank, law enforcement sources said, the suspect told her “this is a stick-up,” causing the employee to drop the keys on the ground and run away.

The suspect allegedly chased the employee for a short time before returning to the bank’s door, picking up the keys and fleeing on foot westbound on Jamaica Avenue, authorities said.

Police describe the suspect as a man standing between 6 feet, 1 inch and 6 feet, 3 inches tall, who was last seen wearing a ski mask, a blue hooded sweater, blue jeans, black gloves and black boots. The suspect was also carrying a black umbrella and a black duffel bag.
