Police identified Billy Forbes on Thursday as the suspect wanted in questioning for a grand larceny that took place on Halloween, according to authorities.
A straphanger, 22, on the E-line of the Parsons Boulevard and Archer Avenue Subway station reported her wallet missing from her purse at 7 p.m. on Oct. 31, according to police.
A preliminary investigation by the 103rd Precinct and the Transit Bureau determined that her card went missing as early as 3 p.m. that day and that the suspect tried to use the victim’s credit cards at an MTA MetroCard vending machine at the Sutphin Boulevard and Archer Avenue Subway station, according to authorities.
On Nov. 8 police released photos and surveillance of the alleged suspect attempting to use the victim’s cards, according to the NYPD.
Forbes, 33, last known address was the Third Street Men’s Shelter – Project Renewal in Manhattan, according to police.
Third Street is a non-profit that helps over 200 homeless tenants work towards maintaining their health and sobriety, and finding housing and jobs, according to their website. Forbes was last seen wearing a backpack and dark clothing, according to police.
